IHS Will Sing National Anthem

I hope you had an enjoyable winter break with family, friends, and the kids at home.

The Music Boosters are back to business and will hold the first Boosters meeting of the year on January 12, at 6:30 p.m., in the IHS Media Center. I have prepared the agenda for this Wednesday's meeting. Click here to review.

Our biggest agenda item is getting our Spaghetti Dinner staffed for set-up help during the school day on Friday, February 11. We then need volunteer help during the event itself, and possibly help with shopping before hand.

I would also like to remind you to look for Monster game hockey ticket order forms which were sent home with your Vocal students. A pdf for download is available here.

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

The Independence High School Music Boosters will host their annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Friday, February 11 from 5-8 p.m. in the Independence High School Cafeteria. All proceeds directly benefit the Music Boosters. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children age 12 and under. The community is invited to enjoy a delicious spaghetti dinner and the sounds of the IHS Vocal and Band members as they perform their Ohio Music Education Association pieces for the association's upcoming Solo and Ensemble competition. For tickets or further information, contact the IHS Music Department at 216-642-5860, ext. 1222.

Upcoming Events

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Music Booster organization through our various fundraisers. Special thanks to volunteers like Julie Scotton who showed tremendous effort by managing the concessions during the recent fieldhouse basketball tournament. She and her helpers shopped every week and Julie worked every Sunday selling concessions to benefit the Boosters. What an incredible effort!
