The IHS Alumni Association Says "YES"
to Supporting the Turf the Field
Project at I.H.S.
At a meeting held last week, the Independence High School Alumni Association generously
became a member of the "333 Turf the Field Club." The 333 Club is a commitment to make a
$333 donation once per year for the next three years towards furthering the cause of installing a
turf field at the I.H.S. Stan Skoczen Stadium. If the Independence Stadium Foundation finds
333 donors to make this commitment by December 25th, of this year, the project will move
forward.
Won't you consider joining the 333 Club as well? Your donation will allow your family name to
be forever displayed on the Alumni Wall at the I.H.S. Stan Skoczen Stadium! What a nice legacy
it will be to forever have your family name displayed! I myself, look forward to my
grandchildren seeing the brick one day and my own kids saying, "I remember when Grandma
and Grandpa bought that brick for us!"
Someone recently said to me:
"There is the right way, there is the wrong way, there is the Independence way."
I thought this really sums it all up. As all of us know, in the City of Independence, we set the
standard for area communities. Let's get this done in true Independence style!
The 333 Club is just one way to get involved in the Independence Stadium Foundation
(IndyStadium.com). Certainly, all donations of any size are welcome. Some graduates are
able to do more, while some are able to do a little less financially, but we can all help in some
way.
We would encourage you to join us this coming Thursday, November 21st at 6pm at the
Precision Environmental Offices, 5500 Old Brecksville Road in Independence (right across from
the old Wonder Bread Outlet). Whether you are interested in gathering more information about
the project, donating financially, helping us get the word out, or serving as an ambassador in a
number of ways, please try to attend the meeting on Thursday.
