IHS Alumni Meeting & Award Presentation Monday, March 10

The meeting on the 10th will be held from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm in the Family & Consumer Science Room, Independence High School.

The Educator of Excellence Award will be given to a former Independence faculty member or administrator who has won this distinguished honor from recent balloting.

Lunch will be served consisting of pizza and salad.

IHS Alumni Basketball Tournament

When:	Friday, March 14 6-10PM & Saturday, March 15 10AM-6PM
Where:	Independence High School & Middle School
Who participates:	Graduates(guys & gals) from as far back as 1972 to the most recent graduating class; grads out of high school 20 years or more compete in a separate bracket.

This year's tournament is the 27th annual - quite an accomplishment for a school the size of IHS! It's a tribute to all those who show up every year, make a donation to the Booster Club, play some basketball, and socialize with friends and teammates throughout the weekend. The tournament has raised over $50,000 for the Booster Club through the years.

In addition to players there is a always a need for people to work the admission table($4/day for adults and $3/day for seniors & students) and to sign players in.
